Our Team

The Lip Sync team is one motley crew of music nerds who have a shared passion for the music we work with and for the projects we are so lucky to be able to work on. We love our jobs!

Lauren Lo Harman

Lauren “Lo” Harman

is the Founder/President of Lip Sync Music, Inc. Since opening in 2009 with no resources but her ears, industry friends and her right hand man Ezra, she has signed a roster of established and up-and-coming independent artists and labels like Frenchkiss Records, Au Revoir Simone, The Antlers, Bush, Freelance Whales, Neon Indian, DOM, The Naked and Famous and many more.

After growing up in Nashville, TN and attending NYU, Lauren moved to LA and accepted a job at Zync Music where she facilitated prescient signings and after only a few months began securing placements regularly. She realized she had found her knack.

After leaving Zync she was a founding partner of Mixtape Music, another independent licensing agency based in the UK, signing artists like Cyndi Lauper and Passion Pit and representing labels like 4AD and Domino in the UK, cementing herself as a go-to source for good music with even the most discerning music supervisors.

She is grateful to be living out her passion with Lip Sync and has the ultimate Dream Team helping her do so.

Ez-Bio

Ezra “Ez” Remer

was reared in Los Angeles, CA (more like the Valley, but don’t hate). He was drawn to music placement as early on as his Bar Mitzvah, where he used the cash he got to buy a video camera and editing software. After that it was non-stop, using amazing bands like Limp Bizkit and Creed in mini-movies that he made with friends.

As Ez grew older his music taste became more refined, and he landed his first job in the industry as a licensing/marketing intern at Quango Music. Shortly after that, Ez connected with Lauren and launched Lip Sync Music by her side, and they’ve been rolling ever since.

He started at Lip Sync as an intern and is now COO of the company; he is the glue that holds Lip Sync together.

Mary Kate

Mary Kate “MK” Melnick

came up in the rural swamps of north central Florida. At age 15 she became obsessed with the Trainspotting soundtrack would beg her parents to drive 30 min to Media Play so she could special order Blur and Pulp singles. This was actually considered a pretty lame thing to do back then and no one at school thought it was remotely cool, but the heart wants what the heart wants. So began a life of music love and social awkwardness.

She studied marketing, communications and sound engineering at Emerson College and then moved to New York because driving in LA was too stressful.

She’s worked at several companies including Blue Note Records, Caroline Distribution and Worlds Fair Label Group. At Lip Sync it seems to have all come full circle. She loves pitching excellent music for film and TV thinking maybe somewhere a weird teenager may hear something that strangely speaks to their soul and leads them to an odd, yet satisfying life of music love.

Mollie

Mollie “Mogo” Moore

grew up in Minneapolis, MN, not playing music, but certainly enjoying it as a spectator. Since she learned to walk, basically, she’s been out and about at any and every show, concert, or music-related event you could think of.

She moved east for a BA in Psychology at Boston University, and eventually started working in music after an interest in doing “voice-over” work led to a job producing the local Alternative radio station WBCN’s with DJ Shred.

Mostly due to the weather, she moved to Los Angeles directly after graduation. After her first gig at a radio promo company (that mainly had her running the owner’s J-Date profile), she moved-on-up to assisting the Senior Vice President of A&R at RCA Records.

Next came a scouting gig at Velvet Hammer Music and Management where she was eventually hired away to do A&R at Atlantic Records (where she is currently developing several bands). She started working with Lip Sync fall of 2011 as an A&R resource and music consultant where she has firm plans to have fun, be fun, and make fun.
